Koblenz Changes

With a stunning bouquet of colours, forms and ideas, the Federal Horticultural Show Koblenz 2011 will dramatically transform the face of Koblenz. The Middle Rhine’s major town is being given a new, green visual identity. The transformation is taking place on three sites covering a total of 48 hectares at the Electoral Palace, the Blumenhof courtyard and Ehrenbreitstein fortress. The Federal Horticultural Show Koblenz 2011 will be the forum for a comprehensive range of recreational and cultural attractions for visitors from home and abroad.

The breathtaking landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Middle Rhine Valley” and the rich legacy of Koblenz’ 2000 year urban history provide a fitting backdrop for such a major event as the Federal Horticultural Show 2011.

As a powerful driving force for business and tourism, the Federal Horticultural Show Koblenz 2011 is revitalizing the whole region. The show’s rich and varied programme plus countless fringe events will attract large numbers of visitors to Koblenz. With more than two million expected visitors, the Federal Horticultural Show Koblenz 2011 will boost local trade, helping to safeguard jobs in the long term and permanently enhancing the appeal of the town.
