By rail & bus

Take the long-distance or regional trains to the Koblenz Central Train Station. Outside, there is a shuttle bus to the BUGA grounds.
The regional train lines RE 5, MRB 26, RB 27 and SE 10 run directly to the stop “Koblenz Stadtmitte” (Koblenz City Centre) every hour, and from there it is 10 minutes by foot.
You can also take the city and regional buses to “Stadttheater” (City Theater), which is right next to the BUGA grounds.

By tour bus: Go to the central tour bus parking area “Fritsch-Kaserne/Fritsch Barracks” (Niederberger Höhe 1, 56077 Koblenz). Please follow the signs.

There are three cycle routes to the BUGA in Koblenz: the Rhine, Moselle, and Lahn (to Lahnstein) cycle routes – more information at www.radwanderland.de and www.radwanderland.info. The route to the Bundesgartenschau is signposted with a special route symbol. The cycle network with the most important destinations and key facilities is also shown on summary boards in the city area.
The entrances at the Electoral Palace and the Deutsches Eck are recommended for cyclists. The Fortress Park can only be reached via a long ascending route (120 m climb).
Bicycle stands are located directly by the entrances; there are also luggage lockers at the Electoral Palace and in the Fortress Park.
Bicycles may not be taken onto the Bundesgartenschau grounds or the cable railway. Bicycles may be taken onto the cable railway from 2012.

From the north (A 61, B 9, B 42) and west (A 48, B 49, B 416), go to the P+R parking area “Messe Wallersheim/Wallersheim Trade Fair” (Hans-Böckler-Straße 1, 56070 Koblenz).
From the south (A 61, B9, B 42) and east (B 49) and from the motorways A 3 and B 327, go to the P+R-parking area “Fritsch-Kaserne/Fritsch Barracks” (Niederberger Höhe 1, 56077 Koblenz).
From there, you can take the P+R shuttle bus to the BUGA grounds and back. Use of shuttle bus is included in the BUGA parking ticket (€ 5.00/car) and covers all travellers in the vehicle. Please follow the signs.
